Release Highlights
This MetaDefender Managed File Transfer release adds major enhancements to the Supervisor Approval Process and the Localization features.
Multi-Stage Supervisor Approval Process
Administrators can now choose to configure the Supervisor Approval Process in such a way that a file would require up to five approvals before it is available for download. If any supervisor votes against it, the file remains locked. This multi-stage supervisor approval configuration works with both OU-based supervisors (for each Active Directory Organizational Unit the administrator promotes one or more users to supervisors) or with Group-based supervisors (for each Active Directory Group).

After multi-stage is configured, the Pending Approval page will display the current status of each file and the number of votes required for the process to complete.
Localization: install a new language
Another major enhancement targets the Localization mechanism. Up until now, only two languages were available in MetaDefender Managed File Transfer: English and Japanese. Starting with this release, a new configuration page is available under Settings, called Language. From there, administrators can download a draft file that contains the current UI texts (in English), translate the file to the desired language, and then upload it back in MetaDefender Managed File Transfer as a new language.
This will install the new language and make it available for all users such that UI information will be displayed in the new language. If you want this to become the default language for new users this can be achieved as well from the Language Settings page by configuring a default language. If you want to learn more about this functionality, please refer to the user guide.

Other fixes
- The scan result view has been improved to display specific reasons when there is a sanitization failure. If supervisors are configured, they will also see these details before approving a file.
- When a user would upload large files over a slow connection it was possible before to receive a timeout that would interrupt the upload progress
