Technical Product Manager (Network Segmentation)

Summary
OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, delivers an end-to-end platform that gives public and private sector organizations and enterprises the critical advantage needed to protect their complex networks, secure their devices, and ensure compliance. Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.
The Position
A message from the NetWall leadership team:
The Technical Product Manager, Network Segmentation role is a cornerstone function within OPSWAT’s MetaDefender NetWall product line—our flagship network security platform and one of the fastest-growing businesses at OPSWAT, with more than 100% year-over-year growth. To support this growth and the expanding scope of the platform, we are building a team of Technical Product Managers focused on different aspects of NetWall’s architecture, use cases, and customer environments.
MetaDefender NetWall delivers advanced network segmentation and cross-domain security solutions for critical infrastructure environments where uptime, safety, and security are inseparable. Our customers operate power grids, transportation systems, industrial plants, defense networks, and other environments where security decisions have real-world physical consequences.
These roles sit at the intersection of product vision, deep technical architecture, and execution, working closely with both software and hardware engineering teams. Our Technical Product Managers partner with architects and engineers across firmware, embedded systems, networking stacks, backend services, APIs, and management platforms—shaping solutions that combine purpose-built hardware with secure, scalable software.
As networks converge, threats evolve, and regulatory and operational pressures increase, the scope and complexity of NetWall continue to expand. New customer requirements, new deployment models, and new technologies continuously shape the roadmap. Supporting this pace requires technically grounded product leaders who can operate close to the architecture—across software and hardware—while maintaining a clear view of long-term strategy.
If you are driven by building security platforms that operate at the edge of feasibility—and want your work to directly support the protection of critical infrastructure worldwide—this role is a critical part of OPSWAT’s long-term strategy and mission.
What You Will be Doing
As a Technical Product Manager on MetaDefender NetWall, you will help lead the technical vision, roadmap, and execution of a complex, high-impact security platform. - Define and evolve the technical roadmap and functional architecture for MetaDefender NetWall, ensuring alignment between product strategy and engineering execution
- Translate complex technical requirements into clear user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria for software and hardware engineering teams
- Work closely with engineering leads and architects to evaluate design options and make informed trade-offs across security, performance, scalability, reliability, and manufacturability
- Develop a deep understanding of NetWall’s core components, including networking, OT services, APIs, integrations, firmware, and hardware-software interactions, and guide their evolution
- Conduct technical discovery with customers, partners, and analysts to uncover architectural, workflow, and deployment requirements
- Collaborate across software engineering, hardware engineering, QA, DevOps, sales engineering, and technical support to ensure successful releases and customer adoption
- Provide technical and architectural context to go-to-market teams, including deployment models, integration patterns, and operational considerations
- Define and track technical KPIs such as performance, reliability, failure rates, and hardware issues to drive continuous improvement
- Analyze telemetry and customer environment data to identify optimization opportunities and inform roadmap decisions
- Present product roadmaps, architectural decisions, and technical trade-offs to executive leadership, engineering teams, and external customers
- Act as the technical voice of the product in cross-functional initiatives and customer-facing engagements
This role offers the opportunity to build products with massive real-world impact, protecting the unseen infrastructure that powers modern society.
What We Need from You
We are looking for Technical Product Managers who thrive in technically complex environments and are motivated by ownership, clarity, and impact. The right candidates are comfortable moving between strategic discussions and detailed technical problem-solving.
You will succeed in this role if you:
- Thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and value accountability and innovation
- Enjoy working at the intersection of product, software engineering, hardware engineering, and architecture
- Think in systems and understand how design decisions affect security, performance, and operational outcomes
- Are naturally curious, analytical, and data-driven
- Are motivated by building security solutions that protect critical assets and networks, especially in OT and industrial environments
Experience and background we value
