Protecting the World’s Critical Infrastructure

OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, delivers an end-to-end platform that gives public and private sector organizations and enterprises the critical advantage needed to protect their complex networks, secure their devices, and ensure compliance. Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.

The Position

This is a hands-on, business-owner product leadership role, not a pure strategy or coordination seat. An experienced product manager reports to you, with full people responsibility, and dedicated sandbox and threat-intelligence engineering teams partner with you daily. Aether’s cloud experience runs on a shared platform owned by a peer Director: you own the hunt experience and its business everywhere it runs, and hold the platform to your bar as its most demanding customer. You operate like a general manager, fluent in packaging, pricing models, and discount structures, and conversant in NDR and GDR. You understand the whole business, from sales enablement and field events, where Aether is won, to marketing and channel partners, and hold every investment to a strong ROI. You bring an AI-first mindset, leveraging AI in the day-to-day work of the team to maximize efficiency and output.

Join a pre-IPO, global cybersecurity leader at the forefront of innovation. We protect the unseen — the infrastructure that powers our way of life. OPSWAT protects the world’s critical infrastructure across IT, OT, and ICS environments, trusted by more than 2,000 organizations, governments, and institutions worldwide.

We are seeking an exceptional product leader to own the vision, strategy, and execution of MetaDefender Aether, OPSWAT’s threat hunting, threat intelligence, and next-generation sandbox business. Where prevention answers “is this file safe to admit?”, Aether serves the analysts who ask “what is this, where else is it, and what do I tell my board?” It is the part of our portfolio built to detonate the unknown. This is business ownership of a fast-growing product line. You own the use case and its persona wherever they live (cloud, on-premises and air-gapped, and the free community), along with the packaging, pricing models, and price ladder behind them. You will converge these experiences into one agentic experience built for the analyst, and turn OPSWAT’s unique data into a story the market cannot ignore.

MetaDefender Aether is OPSWAT’s malware analysis, threat hunting, and threat intelligence portfolio: one use case, one analyst persona, every deployment. This role owns that business end to end:

  • Threat Hunting in the Cloud: the SOC tier of OPSWAT’s cloud. Zero-day detonation of files no engine has already convicted, YARA retro-hunting, and similarity search to find what was already missed and act on it.
  • Threat Intelligence: the intelligence layer of the Aether story: IOC collections, reputation, and feeds built on a corpus formed by the files that pass critical-infrastructure checkpoints worldwide, a dataset cloud-only vendors never see.
  • Next-Generation Sandbox: adaptive, emulation-driven detonation that combines static inspection, emulation, machine learning, and AI, and delivers the same verdict in the cloud, on-premises, and in air-gapped networks.
  • On-Premises & Air-Gapped Aether: the verdict where the network cannot reach, either standalone or as a module of MetaDefender Core and Kiosk, with elastic cloud capacity when connected.
  • The Community: the free community experience that puts hunting, YARA, and similarity search in every analyst’s hands, converging with the commercial product and feeding the data corpus.
  • An Agentic Analyst Experience: one converged UX/UI across cloud and standalone, tailored to the analyst, with AI that explains what it is doing and keeps the analyst in the loop.
  • The Data Story: making OPSWAT’s owned intelligence measurable and marketable: indicator uniqueness, owned corpus growth, and the narrative that OPSWAT is the authoritative record of what tries to enter critical infrastructure.

What You Will be Doing

  • Own the business: define and champion the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Aether across cloud, on-premises, and community, and be accountable for growth, adoption, and commercial outcomes.
  • Own pricing & packaging: design and maintain the Aether tiers and price ladder across every deployment model, keep one coherent price book with the cloud business, and monitor realization against list.
  • Champion the persona: build an evidence-based understanding of threat hunters, SOC analysts, malware researchers, and incident responders, including CERT and government teams, and tailor every part of the product experience to how they work.
  • Converge the experience: unify cloud, standalone, and community UX/UI so an analyst moves between free, cloud, and air-gapped deployments without relearning the product.
  • Drive the agentic experience: lead the shift from a tool the analyst operates to a platform that works alongside them, with transparent reasoning and the human in the loop. Own the developer experience too, so the APIs are as considered as the console.
  • Own the data story: define how the threat-intelligence corpus is measured, grown, and told (indicator uniqueness, owned intelligence volume, TI attach), and make no claim before the data supports it.
  • Grow the community: steward the free community end to end (adoption, engagement, feedback) and partner with the MetaDefender Cloud Director, who owns self-serve and paid conversion, to turn community trust into commercial value.
  • Work hands-on with R&D: partner daily with the global sandbox, detonation, and threat-intelligence engineering teams, writing crisp requirements, making trade-offs, and driving high-quality releases.
  • Enable the field: Aether is won at field events and through the channel. Own sales enablement, arm the field with the story and the proof, and measure the ROI of every motion.
  • Monitor the business: establish and track the KPIs that matter (bookings mix, NDR and GDR, win/loss drivers, community growth) and use them to steer investment.
  • Lead market & competitive analysis: stay ahead of the malware-analysis and threat-intelligence market, and turn customer evidence into prioritization and positioning.
  • Build and lead the team: lead, mentor, and grow the Aether product team, small and senior today, and scale it as the business scales.
  • Communicate with stakeholders: clearly articulate strategy, progress, and results to internal teams, executive leadership, and customers, fostering alignment and enthusiasm.

What We Need from You

  • Product management experience: 5+ years in product management, ideally in SOC tooling, malware analysis, sandboxing, or threat intelligence. Experience leading product managers is a strong plus.
  • Deep domain knowledge: strong grasp of malware analysis, detonation and sandboxing, YARA and hunting techniques, threat-intelligence ecosystems, and how SOC, DFIR, and CERT teams operate.
  • Business-owner fluency: demonstrated ability to run a product line as a business (packaging, pricing models, price ladders, licensing), with fluency in NDR, GDR, and recurring-revenue metrics.
  • Persona-driven product craft: a track record of building experiences around one sharply defined user, backed by research, usage data, and design partnership.
  • Community growth: experience growing a free, community, or product-led offering.
  • AI-first ways of working: you apply AI to your team’s daily work and have strong conviction about what an agentic product should be.
  • Hands-on and technical: comfortable working shoulder-to-shoulder with R&D day to day, engaging credibly on architecture and trade-offs, and going deep in the product.
  • Go-to-market breadth: you understand the whole commercial engine (sales enablement, marketing, field events, channel partners) and instrument it for ROI.
  • Track record of delivery: proven experience managing products from concept through launch, with results in user adoption, revenue growth, or market penetration.
  • Analytical & decisive: strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Exceptional communicator: outstanding interpersonal and executive communication skills, enabling collaboration across cross-functional teams and credibility with customers and leadership.
  • Travel: willingness to travel regularly to field events, customers, and R&D sites.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Ways of working: familiarity with Agile methodologies or similar frameworks.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Own the hunt half of a focused two-product strategy at a pre-IPO, global cybersecurity leader.
  • Build on a data moat no cloud-only vendor has: the files crossing critical-infrastructure checkpoints.
  • Run a fast-growing business and shape how it converges across cloud, on-premises, and community.
  • Define what an agentic security product is, built with world-class global R&D teams.
  • A worldwide analyst community already hunts with the product daily. Make it the front door.
  • Attractive compensation with regular performance assessments and flexibility for the right candidate.
