Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.

The Position

We are seeking a builder-operator hybrid - a Director of Supply Chain who can design, standardize, and scale an integrated supply chain capability while remaining actively involved in execution. The role combines strategic transformation, systems and process development, cross-functional leadership, and hands-on operational oversight in the Tampa warehouse.

This is not a steady-state operational management role. The ideal candidate has successfully built, standardized, or transformed supply chain capabilities - not only managed mature operations.

You will be responsible for designing and executing a supply chain strategy that supports OPSWAT's hardware growth, ensuring every unit shipped meets our standards for quality, branding, and customer experience.

You will also establish the planning discipline, data visibility, performance management, and cross-functional operating practices required to move from reactive execution toward a scalable, proactive, and data-driven supply chain model.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Build & Scale Supply Chain Capability
Architect and implement scalable supply chain processes, systems, and supplier capabilities to support OPSWAT's hardware growth trajectory. Translate strategic priorities into practical operating processes, ownership, and execution plans.
  • Supply Chain Operating Model & Standardization
Design and implement a consistent operating model across procurement, inventory management, fulfillment, quality, and planning. Define clear ownership, standardized workflows, decision-making processes, controls, and escalation paths.
  • Demand Planning & Forecasting
Establish a disciplined demand planning and forecasting process in partnership with Sales, Finance, Product Management, and Operations. Translate commercial forecasts into purchasing, inventory, fulfillment, and capacity plans.
  • Systems, Data & Process Reliability
Establish reliable supply chain data and system practices, including master data standards, data ownership, ERP accuracy, system integration requirements, and a consistent source of operational information for decision-making.
  • Hands-On QA/QC Oversight
Lead quality assurance and control efforts in the Tampa warehouse, including hardware assembly, imaging, testing, and packaging. Ensure every unit meets functional, security, quality, and branding standards.
  • Warehouse Execution & Fulfillment
Oversee daily operations in the Tampa warehouse, including inventory control, ERP data accuracy, fulfillment workflows, and issue resolution. Remain personally engaged where operational problems occur and ensure that immediate fixes are converted into sustainable process improvements.
  • Shop Floor & Material Flow Execution
Provide strong hands-on leadership across shop floor logistics, material flow and replenishment, internal logistics routes, operational administration, and coordination between warehouse and production-related activities. Identify bottlenecks, improve material availability, and ensure that operational processes are practical, controlled, and consistently followed.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead initiatives requiring alignment across Sales, Finance, Product Management, Operations, Creative, and GTM teams. Establish accountability, resolve competing priorities, and drive decisions through implementation, including in areas where Supply Chain does not have direct authority.
  • Vendor & Logistics Management
Build and manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and logistics partners. Improve supplier performance, service reliability, and cost effectiveness while ensuring compliance with export regulations and hardware-specific controls.
  • Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
Establish a standardized supply chain performance management framework, including KPI definitions, data ownership, reporting cadence, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking. Key measures may include forecast accuracy, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, fulfillment lead time, quality, and logistics cost.
  • Team Leadership
Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of supply chain and warehouse professionals. Build a culture of ownership, transparency, collaboration, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain operations, preferably in hardware or technology sectors.
  • Strong hands-on shop floor experience, including internal logistics routes, material supply and replenishment, inventory movement, operational administration, and coordination with warehouse or light production activities.
  • Basic production planning knowledge is considered a plus.
  • Proven success leading at least one significant supply chain transformation involving process standardization, systems or ERP improvement, data quality, planning, organizational change, and measurable operational results.
  • Demonstrated experience improving fragmented supply chain systems, workflows, and data environments.
  • Strong experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, and translating commercial demand into executable supply and capacity plans.
  • Proven track record of managing logistics, procurement, supplier performance, and fulfillment operations.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, with particular focus on export regulations and hardware-specific controls for international distribution.
  • Deep understanding of ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, including master data, transaction accuracy, workflow design, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to create alignment and drive execution without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous and underdeveloped environments, quickly identifying priorities, establishing ownership, and driving execution without waiting for perfect information.
  • Able to balance immediate operational problem-solving with the development of sustainable processes and long-term capabilities.
  • Willing to be personally present where problems occur - whether in the warehouse, within a system workflow, with a supplier, or during a cross-functional escalation.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, resilience, constructive assertiveness, and a strong bias for action.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities.

What We Offer

  • A high-impact leadership role with the mandate to shape and scale OPSWAT's supply chain capability.
  • The opportunity to build processes, systems, metrics, and teams that directly support the growth of the hardware business.
  • Significant cross-functional exposure and the ability to influence operational strategy, product quality, and customer experience.
  • A role that combines strategic ownership with visible, hands-on operational impact.
