Wrapping Up Another Successful Year at Black Hat

We just finished another successful year at Black Hat USA in Vegas. Thankfully our team escaped the Vegas heat within the air-conditioned walls of Mandalay Bay. At the show, there was a lot of interest in our products, particularly from the malware analysis side. Visitors to the conference were very interested in using our on-premise and offline solutions for forensic analysis and incident response purposes. Our cloud-based multi-scanning technology, Metascan® Online, can be used on-premise as well as offline to scan sensitive data. Metascan Online can also be used as a malware analysis tool with its stats page, which shows the top searched for threats and their detection rates by our various Metascan packages.

Whenever we are at a show, our MetaDefender kiosk always gets a lot of attention. This year we gave demos to professionals in the critical infrastructure industry. MetaDefender's ability to quickly scan portable media devices for threats makes it an ideal security product for ICS (Industrial Control Systems).

Another popular product in our booth was our endpoint security and compliance platform, Gears, that allows security professionals and home users alike to monitor and control the security status of both managed and unmanaged devices. Companies that rely heavily on cloud-based products, in particular, like Salesforce, were interested in Gears as a way for them to monitor remote users.

For every badge scan received in our booth at Black Hat, we donated $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project. We are happy to announce that we will be donating $337 this year! If you are interested in learning more about our products, we will be at the NIAS Cyber Security Symposium in Belgium on September 15th through 17th with our partner, Arbit.
