In our latest Gears how-to videos, Product Manger Adam Winn provides easy instructions for configuring automatic updates and event logs based on your preferences. For instance, some Gears users might not want to use the automatic update feature, which is turned on by default. The first video shows how users can turn this feature off and keep their current version of Gears when a new version is released.
The second video explores the Gears event logs, which provide a record of administrator events, device events and device activities. The filtering controls allow you to easily view events over a particular time period, and the results can be exported into a .csv file for additional analysis.
