News about the upcoming release of Windows 8 is all over the web, and OPSWAT is busy getting ready for the release later this year. We've already investigated the Windows 8 Consumer Preview released by Microsoft, and have started investigating the recently available Release Preview as well.
As with the recent releases of Mac OS X Lion and Android, our biggest task with the release of this new operating system is the support for new security applications. We have already begun monitoring new antivirus applications compatible with Windows 8 (including products from Avast, Microsoft, Kaspersky Lab and others) and have started adding support for them through OESIS Framework and AppRemover. As new applications become available, we'll continue to add support to ensure compatibility for users.

If you are a software vendor with a new, Windows 8 compatible product (or if you have a new application for Mac OS X Mountain Lion or Android), make sure to submit it for OPSWAT Certification so that we can ensure compatibility with the OESIS Framework! Learn more about industry-wide compatibility in the OPSWAT Certification section. The video to the right also explains why system administrators choose OPSWAT Certified applications.
OESIS and AppRemover customers, if you have any questions about our support for Windows 8, please contact us.
