The OESIS Framework has a modular software architecture for detecting and assessing endpoint’s applications, which are integrated into leading access control vendors like Cisco, Citrix, & Pulse Secure. These vendors have integrated OESIS into their clients, which are deployed on over 200M+ endpoints across NAC, SSL-VPN, CASB and SSO products. Unlike writing to access control vendor APIs individually, certifying an application with OPSWAT typically takes less than 2 hours. Having integrated thousands of applications, the process is highly templated. To achieve Bronze certification, OPSWAT only needs basic product information (version number, release date, etc) and a licensed installer.
To submit your application:
- Create an account in the OPSWAT Certification Portal
- Login and provide basic product information
Once the application is submitted, the OPSWAT Certified Security Application team will begin integrating and testing, which typically takes 10-15 business days. Upon successful completion, the application will be compatible with all access control vendors leveraging the OESIS Framework!
Security conscious enterprises enforce access control policies through leading vendors such as Cisco, Citrix, Pulse Secure etc. These policies typically include posture checks for anti-malware, encryption and other security applications and features.
When the access control solution cannot communicate with the local security clients, the security administrators are forced to either deny access or write policy exceptions. Both options frustrate security administrators and lead to support tickets being filed. OESIS certification prevents these compatibility issues from happening.
The security posture of an endpoint is made up of numerous types of applications and OESIS certification program reflects this. The application categories include:
OPSWAT Gold Certified products have the highest level of interoperability with leading technology solutions, with the ability to be detected, assessed and remediated. The vendors of these products have a full commitment to an ongoing technology partnership with OPSWAT, and have provided us with all the information that is needed for maximum compatibility.
OPSWAT Silver Certified products have strong compatibility with leading technology solutions; these products are able to be detected, and some assessment and remediation actions are supported. Vendors of these products have a technology partnership with OPSWAT and have provided the information most commonly needed for compatibility.
OPSWAT Bronze Certified products are able to be detected by leading technology solutions, and their vendors have a technology partnership with OPSWAT.
OPSWAT Certified Partners have established a technology partnership with OPSWAT and are committed to interoperability. These partners have achieved certification for at least one product in the past 12 months.
OPSWAT Certified anti-malware vendors, get access to OPSWAT’s Malware Sharing Program. The program provides false positive and false negative samples from participating vendors, OPSWAT customers and community submissions via metadefender.com, which can greatly reduce outbreak response times.

Please note that being an OPSWAT certified security application verifies that the product is compatible with the technology solutions and will be accessible through their management consoles. Certification does not guarantee that your product will be included in the system administrator’s access policy. Receiving OPSWAT Gold certification for your product means that you are committed to providing all of the function calls we request, and your product will not be excluded due to access policy function requirements.
