OPSWAT Launches Rebrand, Reinforces Mission to Eliminate Security Risks from Data and Devices

New look, new focus on simple, yet powerfully effective threat prevention for enterprises

SAN FRANCISCO, March 27, 2018 – OPSWAT announced today a major rebrand of its product offerings, positioning, and messaging. The comprehensive rebrand presents the company’s robust threat prevention solutions for enterprises in a simple, effective, and elegantly obvious way, via a new logo, UI, and products, with a redesigned website to follow.

"At OPSWAT, we know that keeping organizations safe from today’s increasingly sophisticated cybercriminals takes a rigorous commitment,” said Benny Czarny, OPSWAT CEO, and founder. “Our rebrand reflects who we are and what makes us unique. We’re committed to protecting our customers with the most advanced cyber security solutions available anywhere, and this is what we want to emphasize with our rebrand.”

Here is a timeline of significant events in the company's history.

2002: OPSWAT launches.

2003: OPSWAT introduces its SDK endpoint security integration, which continues to power endpoint posture assessment for network access and secure remote access solutions from Cisco Systems, Palo Alto Networks, Aruba Networks (an HPE company), Citrix Systems, F5 Networks, and LogMeIn. SDK also powers unwanted application-removal features of several anti-malware solution vendors.

2009: OPSWAT introduces its MetaDefender® platform for preventing known and unknown data threats.

2011: OPSWAT introduces MetaAccess™ (formally known as GEARS), an endpoint-device-access-control platform for cloud and corporate applications.

2018: New brand, new logo, new voice.

OPSWAT’s two core product lines are based on the company’s credo "Trust no file. Trust no device."

Trust no file: MetaDefender stops known and unknown data threats. Trust no device: MetaAccess prevents non-trusted endpoints, managed and unmanaged, from accessing cloud and corporate applications.

“Our goal is to stop all malware, virus, and zero-day attacks, and we will do whatever it takes to get the job done,” said Czarny. “Obviously this is good for our customers for business and legal reasons, but it’s also good for their peace-of-mind. We trust no file. We trust no device. And we build cyber security tools that work—full stop. That’s why OPSWAT is trusted by more than 1,000 organizations worldwide.”
