OPSWAT Gets High Marks from Attendees at Nordic-Baltic Security Summit

Boaz Litai and George Chereches

On March 20th of this year, OPSWAT participated in the ninth Nordic-Baltic Security Summit held in Tallinn, Estonia. It included 200+ attendees, 20+ speakers, and 10+ exhibitors from different countries around the globe – all sharing their expertise and thought leadership related to keeping critical infrastructure and data assets safe.

OPSWAT and its local partner, Security Software, manned a booth to demonstrate OPSWAT’s technology, including solutions for enterprises around the world to safely transfer data to secure networks. Multi-scanning, data sanitization (also known as Content Disarm and Reconstruction, or CDR), and vulnerability assessment capabilities were demoed multiple times during the day, generating much interest from the audience.

Another highlight was a presentation made by Boaz Litai, OPSWAT Regional Director - EMEA titled, “Data Sanitization (CDR): Stripping Threats out of Your Organization.” In this talk, which was attended by more than 100 people, Boaz discussed the state of cyber security today, explained why Content Disarm & Reconstruction (CDR) is so important and described how it is typically implemented. He also explained how OPSWAT combines several technologies to achieve Advanced Threat Prevention: detecting malicious files, preventing embedded malware, and identifying application vulnerabilities.

“We were the only vendor to display such a robust set of technologies,” says George Chereches, OPSWAT solution engineer, “and this made some hospital and government facilities decide to run a proof of concept of our solutions.”
