We are excited to announce the latest release of our MetaDefender kiosk product, which is now available for download on the OPSWAT Portal. All customers with active MetaDefender licenses can now download and install the latest version of MetaDefender. We encourage all current customers to upgrade to the latest version as soon as they are able. As a reminder, configurations can be exported from your current version and imported into MetaDefender 3.0.8.
With this release, MetaDefender users will be able to scan various types of encrypted media that were previously unsupported. This gives users more flexibility in choosing the encrypted media that best fits their business needs. With our added support of Windows 8.1 and 2012 R2, MetaDefender can now be installed on a wider range of operating systems. This includes some of the newest high-end tablet computers that have specifications that meet MetaDefender's system requirements. MetaDefender administrators now have additional flexibility in how they choose to deploy MetaDefender in their environment.

- Support for Windows 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2
- Support for additional types of encrypted media:
- Re-verification of SHA256 hashes after files are copied or moved as a post-action
- German and Korean translations of the MetaDefender kiosk UI
