All our MetaDefender MAX customers can now leverage all the new engines in our offering: CrowdStrike, Windows Defender, Comodo and Rocket Cyber! Due to incompatibility with Windows Defender, Microsoft Security Essentials was removed from the package.

The new total count is 35 anti-malware engines in the MAX package, with a few more updates coming soon:

We are planning to update the package as frequently as possible with the new additions to our offering, so stay tuned!

Meanwhile, in case you are not seeing the new engines in your list (Inventory > Modules > Metascan), depending on your deployment model please do the following:

  • online deployments: reactivate MetaDefender (Settings > License > Deactivate and then Activate).
  • offline deployments: contact our Customer Success to assist you to regenerate the new license file.

At any time if you would like to review a list of all the engines in our offering, please review our MetaDefender Licensing page ( Metascan > Windows > MAX Engines).
