MetaDefender Endpoint v7.6.2506 Release

The Malware Scan performance has been optimized to process files with greater speed, cutting scan times, especially with large numbers of files. As a result, the malware scanning process speed has been boosted by up to 15%.

A redesign has been applied to the Overview page to provide real-time results, allowing users to gain expanded visibility into their endpoint security status and making it easier to assess risk posture, prioritize actions, and maintain control over critical endpoints. This redesign gives users a centralized view of critical metrics, connected device status, compliance status, file counts, detected vulnerabilities, and available patches, all from the same interface.

We’ve optimized system resource consumption to deliver a 38% reduction in CPU usage. MetaDefender Endpoint now runs even more efficiently in the background while enhancing user experience by reducing interruptions due to high CPU usage.

Administrators get more control over data transfers with enhanced file copying configuration options. From the management console, administrators can configure policies to allow users to copy files from external storage to multiple destinations simultaneously, enhancing workflows for users working across various locations or departments.

For better security, administrators have the option to configure policies that restrict file copying to a specific destination, ensuring files are only saved in authorized locations.

Users can now select the scan server from the MetaDefender Endpoint interface when using the Malware Scan feature. With this enhancement, users have the flexibility to choose the most suitable scan server based on their needs or network setup.

Linux users will benefit from enhanced stability in file and directory verification. It has been refined to deliver more accurate and reliable output when checking if a file or a directory exists.
