MetaDefender Drive v4.2.0 is now available with new features, UI enhancements, and bug fixes. This release, along with MetaDefender Drive Toolkit v3.6.0, aims to enhance and streamline the centralized management of MetaDefender Drive.

What’s New in MetaDefender Drive v4.2.0?

Centralized management of Drive in OPSWAT Management Console

The primary addition of this release is the integration with OPSWAT Management Console. You can now enroll MetaDefender Drive into OPSWAT Management Console for centralized management and real-time monitoring of all connected MetaDefender Drives through the OPSWAT Management Console platform.
After establishing the integration, reports will be automatically synced with OPSWAT Management Console upon scan completion. The automated synchronization ensures instant scan data availability for centralized analysis and auditing of your cybersecurity operations.

In addition to saving time and enabling central management, automated report synchronization minimizes the possibility of scan failures due to full disk space. This can be achieved by enabling auto-report deletion after synchronization, a feature that was introduced in the previous release.

Enhanced BitLocker Support

MetaDefender Drive can now detect and unlock BitLocker-encrypted partitions on Windows 11 24H2. This extended support for auto-detection and decryption ensures compatibility with the most recent operating systems.

Improved User Experience with Auto-Rotation Mode

As a UI enhancement, auto-rotation is now possible with MetaDefender Drive. You can now switch between landscape and portrait modes, extending MetaDefender Drive’s adaptability to more work setups and environments.

More accurate scan time estimates: The calculation of the estimated scan time has been improved to display more accurate time, and the freezing issue of the elapsed time progress bar has been resolved.

Auto Actions option: An option to skip the manual network configuration prompt before scans has been added under Settings → Preferences → Auto Actions
