Steph Curry and our Golden State Warriors are on a roll, and so is our Gears team. Last night's game came down to a single possession, with a nail-biting win that hinged on Harden's last second turnover. Our Gears development team has also been running the floor, playing hard antivirus defense, and attacking malware from the perimeter, while making sure admins can drive into a device's issue history, adaptor information, and be able to pick and roll with any version client they see fit.
Code Name: "Wisconsin"
In this release, we're continuing to make life for Gears admins easier by giving them more tools to monitor and manage their networks. What is great about "Wisconsin", is that we were able to add all of these new features and updates all while reducing the processing memory required to run Gears by over 30MB. Yeah, I'm bragging, but you may pardon my bravado once you check out what we're rolling out. Here's what's in our "Wisconsin" release:

Added Exempt Time Options
Administrators will also be happy to know that if there was ever an instance where a particular device needed to be exempt from critical or all security policies, an exemption window (or time limit) can be set. This added configuration makes it easier to exempt devices, while limiting the stress of having to keep track of which devices are exempt for what period of time.

Admins Can Now Add Exemption Times
If a managed device needed to be exempt for whatever reason, it can now be temporarily exempt from Gears security policies. For instance, if a user needed to connect to the network in order to give an hour-long presentation, and it was halted by a low-level security issue, the admins can grant them a temporary exemption that will only last for the length of the time specified. Gears admins can essentially set it for an hour and forget about it.
Agent Version Options
Here at OPSWAT, we understand that for managed devices it's sometimes required to lock-in a certain version of the Gears client. So we've made it possible, through the magic of the cloud, for Gears administrators to set Agent Version policies within their dashboard. That way, any managed device entering the network can retrieve the appropriate client version as dictated by the administrators. This saves administrators the hassle of having to keep the preferred version's installer on hand, and prevents accidental deployment of a newer Gears client on a managed device.

Advanced Network Adaptor Information
We are constantly innovating Gears, and we're happy to announce that we are venturing into another key aspect of network security, which will empower administrators to proactively strategize security policies for different hardware configurations.

Gears Now Includes Network Adapter Information
In the Gears dashboard, administrators can now see detailed network adaptor information. By providing all of the details for how a particular device's hardware connects to their network, Gears administrators can observe the user's DCHP settings in order to troubleshoot or debug any connectivity issues that may arise. Stay current with our Gears roadmap to see what hardware policies we're cookin' up. We're already getting excited as this added features opens the door for things like geolocation of devices and network specific policies (any other netsec-nerds as stoked?).
Color Coding for Device Issues
You will notice that in the event logs we have added color codes for issues. Issues will be flagged in yellow, while all critical security issues will be flagged and logged in orange. This gives a better overview of what has been going on with each user, and to what degree of issues it has been triggering.

The Giants Swept the Dodgers
In other news, the greatest baseball rivalry of all time is no longer much of a rivalry. The Dodgers got swept three times by The Giants in this week's series, sending the boys in blue home, well, blue.
