A San Jose-based wireless networking firm recently reported losses of $39M from a "CEO Scam" very similar to the one targeted at OPSWAT earlier this year. OPSWAT's CFO, Patrick Tan, recounts the attack in the video below.

Shortly after OPSWAT reported the attempted spear phishing attack to the authorities, the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint center issued a warning about "Business Email Compromise" scams defrauding businesses who frequently use wire transfers. Their statement reported world-wide losses from 10/1/13-12/1/14 of nearly $215M.
