We are excited to share a demonstration of the Gears integration with PacketFence, creators of an open-source NAC (Network Access Control) solution. Gears works with PacketFence to provide enhanced compliance checking capabilities. When a new user tries to connect to the network, they are directed to a portal where the are required to enter in their credentials using an external validation source. At this point if the user does not have Gears installed on their device, they are required to do so before being allowed to connect. Gear provides an extra level of security with its device monitoring capabilities that check for the status of installed security applications such as antivirus, encryption and antiphishing software.
Please watch the short demo below to see the integration in action, showing how a user is permitted access to the network after they have installed the Gears agent.
To try the full Gears technology out for yourself, download OPSWAT Gears, and manage up to 25 Mac or Windows devices for free with a single account.
