MetaDefender Storage Security offers a robust layer of protection for On-Prem and Cloud Storage. It protects enterprise stored data from data breaches, downtime, and compliance violations in cloud and on-premises storage and collaboration solutions like OneDrive, Box, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Cloudian, Dell EMC, and any S3 or SMB compatible storage.

The comprehensive solution leverages multiple OPSWAT technologies to protect stored files, documents, and images from Zero-Day attacks (Deep Content Disarm and Reconstruction), advanced threats (Multiscanning), and sensitive data loss (Proactive Data Loss Prevention).

Release Highlights

MetaDefender Storage Security now offers an internal load balancer whereby multiple MetaDefender Core servers can be arranged in different pools and each storage unit can be assigned to a pool. Files are processed in a round-robin fashion by any available server.

With this releaseMetaDefender Storage Security also provides Group filtering option for Box units i.e. ability to only process files from a specific group in your account.


In addition, the release includes the following bug fixes -

  • Improved Azure Blob validation process when adding a storage unit - fixed misleading failure messages.
  • Increased log retention in generated support packages.
  • A certificate hash mismatch has been fixed to enable online download of the .NET Framework 4.8 installer.
  • A fix that prevents active sessions from being reset/terminated after a password change by user.
