New location offers premier workspace and convenient location to attract and retain top cybersecurity talent in Timisoara
Timisoara, Romania – June 12, 2023 – OPSWAT, a global leader in Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) cybersecurity solutions, today announced the grand opening of its Romania office at the United Business Center, located inside the Iulius Town project in Timisoara. Previously located at Bastion Office, the new location is conveniently based in the city center and offers an open-concept workspace to prioritize collaboration and operational growth.
OPSWAT first established its Romania presence in 2014 and has since tripled its headcount. Today, it serves as the primary location for the company’s engineering, customer experience and global function teams. The new space will have an onsite CIP lab as seen in other OPSWAT offices around the world.

“Not only is Timisoara home to the Polytechnical University and West University that fuel an incredible talent pipeline, but it has also been named one of three European Capitals of Culture in 2023. We are very proud to have a more prominent presence in such a culturally rich city and share our mission of protecting the world’s critical infrastructure.”
To inaugurate the new local office, Benny Czarny, OPSWAT Founder and CEO, Yiyi Miao, Chief Product Officer, and George Prichici, VP of Products, traveled to Timisoara to join the Polytechnical University for a presentation on cybersecurity for critical infrastructure and securing operational technology (OT) and cloud environments, followed by a reception.

The new office is double the size of the previous location, boasting nearly 2,000 square meters of collaboration space for its employees. Its CIP lab is a replication of six others around the globe and counting and demonstrates OPSWAT’s information technology (IT) and OT cybersecurity capabilities, enabling partners, customers, and employees to experience first-hand how the organization’s zero-trust solutions can detect, analyze, and mitigate malware and zero-day attacks.
This announcement follows a year of tremendous growth for the company. OPSWAT previously announced global expansions within India and Japan, as well as an expanded presence in Vietnam at the end of 2022.
