OPSWAT is now utilizing Windows Azure to host some of the infrastructure of Metascan Online, a free site for scanning files against more than 40 commercial antivirus engines through the web.
The migration to Windows Azure allows OPSWAT to take advantage of flexible cloud hosting capabilities to improve the experience web users have when they are utilizing the multi-scanning capabilities of Metascan that Metascan Online provides. By using Windows Azure, OPSWAT will now be able to scale additional servers to help support the increasing web traffic seen on Metascan Online.
