OPSWAT traveled to Dubai for another year of the connector event for the Middle East & Africa’s cybersecurity community, GISEC 2024. This event took place from April 23-25, 2024.
GISEC is one of the foremost cybersecurity events held annually in the Middle East. It serves as a significant gathering for cybersecurity professionals, industry experts, thought leaders, and technology enthusiasts from across the globe. GISEC provides a comprehensive platform for showcasing the latest advancements, trends, and best practices in cybersecurity, while also fostering networking opportunities and facilitating knowledge exchange.
This year GISEC attracted over 20,000 attendees from 130+ countries.
OPSWAT's participation at GISEC was driven by a strong commitment to delivering end-to-end IT/OT cybersecurity solutions, establishing itself as a trusted authority within the industry. OPSWAT’s team enjoyed demonstrating the Nuclear Plant Model Reactor, which featured practical applications of the OPSWAT IT/OT platform in a real-world scenario. Discussions stemming from these demos revealed several interesting takeaways, many of which focused on:
- Emerging Threats: Many organizations wanted to discuss the evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats, including the rise of ransomware, supply chain vulnerabilities, and the importance of proactive security measures.
