OPSWAT is excited to announce a new integration between Gears and the Open Source network access solution, PacketFence! The combined solution will provide customers of both products with advanced compliance assessment and enforcement checking capabilities to ensure only trusted devices obtain network access.
Version 4.5 of PacketFence, released today, includes an easy integration with our device management and security management platform Gears. This initial integration allows administrators to ensure that Gears is installed on all devices accessing the network, providing greater visibility into installed endpoint applications and control over remote devices.
The integration between these two leading technologies was made possible from the partnership between OPSWAT and Inverse Inc., the developers of PacketFence. Future versions of the solution will have a tighter and more powerful integration including the ability to enforce that only compliant devices are granted network access.
