Metascan 3.3 was released on 4/18 with some great improvements to make license activation faster and easier to troubleshoot.
Activation using command prompts has been enhanced to provide more inline details, giving a step-by-step approach to license activation.
In addition, a new capability for license activation through MMC has been added, providing an even simpler process. The image below shows the new management console, which provides easy detail entry to enable both online and offline activation. These improvements reduce the time needed for license activation under both environments and decrease the need for assistance.
In Metascan 3.3, enhancements to our hash code scanning process have been implemented to improve look-up speed. This updated system will enable known hash scans to be processed faster and more efficiently during periods of high scanning loads on the server.
