MetaDefender Storage Securityoffers a robust layer of protection for securing stored enterprise datafrom data breaches, downtime, and compliance violations in cloud storage and on-premises storage solutions like OneDrive, Box, Amazon S3, Cloudian, and Dell EMC.
It leverages multiple OPSWAT technologies to protect stored files, documents, and images from Zero-Day attacks using Deep CDR (Content Disarm and Reconstruction), advanced threats using Multiscanning,and sensitive data loss using Proactive DLP (Data Loss Prevention).
Release Highlights
Additional remediation actions now available for MetaDefender Storage Security.
Starting with this release, administrators have more control over remediation actions.
- They can choose to move files to a different storage unit after they are sanitized.
- It is also possible to move or delete blocked files between your different storage providers.
- File sanitization can be reverted if the option to encrypt original file was selected when configuring Deep CDR remediation.
Updated Dashboard
We’ve added lots more actionable information for blocked files. They are now further classified based on -
- Category of compliance violations (whether PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR).
- Security alerts (Malware, Vulnerabilities, or PII Data etc.)
A number of enhancements provide an improved user experience on MetaDefender Storage Security.
- This release expands the functionality to process a single file to OneDrive and Box storage unit types.
- Improved process scheduling algorithm to ensure correct start times for the next scheduled process regardless of whether the previous process has completed or not.
- Real Time Processing configuration had been fixed to prevent multiple scans of a new file at the same time.
