Enhancing Endpoint Security with New Features

Protecting your endpoints is more critical than ever. OPSWAT's MetaDefender Endpoint is a great asset in furthering your endpoint security program, offering advanced threat detection and secure file handling to keep your organization safe. MetaDefender Endpoint is a great endpoint security tool to enhance your removable media handling on its own or in addition to other security technologies. With the latest update, we are taking your protection capabilities to the next level, introducing features that empower admins, enhance file security, and reinforce OPSWAT's commitment to comprehensive peripheral media protection for critical infrastructure.

NEW: Free MetaDefender Endpoint Tier Available

MetaDefender Endpoint now offers a free tier, allowing organizations to scan up to 500 files for free. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the power of MetaDefender Endpoint's advanced security features without commitment. With 500 scans available for your organization, you can confidently test, evaluate, and secure your endpoints.

What’s New in 7.6.2407

On-Access File Scanning for Endpoint Security

This feature ensures that every file you need to scan coming from removable media like USB or SD cards are sanitized prior to access, whether they’re being opened, copied, or moved, providing continuous protection against threats.

Secure Content Download for Chrome Browser and WhatsApp

As web-based and messaging platforms become increasingly common vectors for cyberthreats, MetaDefender Endpoint scans downloaded files in real-time; by securing these commonly used applications, we reduce the risk of malware infiltration from files downloaded from Internet.

On-Access File Validation and Enforced Scan Policy for Removable Media

Removable media, such as USB drives, continue to be a significant threat vector. With the on-access file validation feature, MetaDefender Endpoint now enforces scan policies to check that each file has been scanned by a Kiosk prior to use on protected endpoints. Unscanned media will not be accessible.

MetaDefender On-Premises Management Console

This update introduces an on-premises version of MetaDefender IT Access cloud management console, all with the same functionalities and UX as the existing cloud management console. For more details, including a feature break down, please visit MetaDefender Endpoint documentation.

A Key Component of OPSWAT's Peripheral Media Protection Strategy

MetaDefender Endpoint is a vital component of OPSWAT's broader peripheral media protection strategy. By enhancing control over file types, securing downloads, and providing robust on-access scanning, MetaDefender Endpoint helps organizations mitigate risks associated with peripheral devices and removable media. These features, combined with the ability to manage and enforce scanning policies, make MetaDefender Endpoint an essential tool for any organization's cybersecurity arsenal.
