What’s New in MetaDefender Endpoint 7.6.2409

Peripheral Device Management 

The peripheral device allowlisting feature empowers administrators to create a list of approved peripheral devices that can access the system. By using Device ID or Vendor ID, administrator can restrict access to only authorized devices. 

To allow flexibility and secure device usage, administrators can grant temporary access to specific peripheral devices within the system.

Securely Wipe Data

In addition to existing HID protection and data burning capabilities, MetaDefender Endpoint now features a "Wipe Data" option. This feature allows users to securely wipe all data from removable media devices, such as USB drives, external hard drives, and optical discs. 

This addition further addresses the challenges of unauthorized access and sensitive information leakage, adding a critical layer of protection.

Users can now access scanned files from MetaDefender Kiosk easily with the Managed File Transfer feature via a Guest ID. This feature offers a secure file transfer workflow on critical networks and has streamlined the user experience in document management, making the process of accessing and downloading scanned files seamless and efficient.
