OPSWAT is thrilled to announce the release of MetaDefender Drive Professional, the latest addition to the MetaDefender Drive Series. The release of MetaDefender Drive Professional expands the MetaDefender Drive product range, offering a wider variety of options to strengthen your organization’s defense-in-depth strategy.
What’s New?
The key difference in MetaDefender Drive Professional is the number of antivirus engines used as multiscanning engines. MetaDefender Drive Professional support includes 3 antivirus engines, while MetaDefender Drive Advanced and Enterprise support 5 and 7 engines, respectively. For the first time in the MetaDefender Drive Series, the ClamAV antivirus engine is included. The other two scanning engines are Ahnlab and Avira.
With continued multiple antivirus engine support, MetaDefender Drive Professional gives our customers similar robust scanning and threat detection capabilities to its counterparts. The introduction of MetaDefender Drive Professional increases the diversity of the MetaDefender Drive Series to meet different security needs, while maintaining the same quality and performance.
New Engine Integration
MetaDefender Drive Professional maintains all the key features and core technologies, such as MetaScan™ Multiscanning and Secure Boot Scan, included in the MetaDefender Advanced and Enterprise. With Windows, Linux, and macOS compatibility*, this product provides continued security and threat protection:
- Inoperable OS recovery: Recovers inoperable operating systems by booting from MetaDefender Drive.
- MetaScan Multiscanning: Increases detection rates by with multiple antivirus engines, broadening coverage and narrowing the risk window.
- Country of Origin Detection: Determines the origin of hardware, software, and firmware to maintain compliance.
- Secure boot scan: Boots using its own operating system to scan transient devices, eliminating the need for software installation.
- Data integrity: Captures baseline snapshots for data integrity verification.
- File-based vulnerability assessment: Includes 30,000 associated CVEs with severity information and 3 million datapoints.
By offering the same user-friendly interface, configurations and management tools, MetaDefender Drive Professional provides the same user experience minimizing the difficulties for previous MetaDefender Drive operators to handle its provisioning and management. It can also be set up and managed using MetaDefender Drive Toolkit**, enabling on-premises deployment and provisioning.
MetaDefender Drive Professional is available in our two current form factors, USB and Digital Display, offering more flexibility to meet your security needs. The Digital Display form brings the convenience of operating MetaDefender Drive using its integrated display to scan stationary devices that don’t come with integrated displays. The USB form is more suitable for scanning mobile devices, such as laptops.
