OPSWAT Academy brought all-new, hands-on cybersecurity learning experiences to Timisoara and Istanbul through two bootcamps in different formats, held on August 27–29 and September 3–5. These back-to-back events represented a significant step forward in our global mission to provide practical, real-world training for critical infrastructure protection.
At OPSWAT, we don’t just deliver a technology platform, we foster an ecosystem built on a shared mission: protecting what matters most. These bootcamps exemplify that commitment by extending knowledge, strengthening skills, and enabling our community to address today’s most critical cybersecurity challenges.
Timisoara Marks the Rollout of OPSWAT’s First Partner Bootcamp
The Partner Bootcamp, developed and executed in alignment with OPSWAT’s regional business strategy, was rolled out for the first time in Timisoara. Designed exclusively for our partners, the program aimed to deepen technical expertise, strengthen solution-selling capabilities, and provide hands-on experience with OPSWAT technologies.
Key areas of focus included:
- Deep dives into OPSWAT’s security solutions and architecture.
- Sales and technical enablement tracks for comprehensive partner readiness.
- Hands-on simulations using the Cloud-based Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Lab.
This inaugural bootcamp underscored OPSWAT’s ongoing investment in partner success and further strengthened the collective cybersecurity resilience across our ecosystem.
The training format and pacing were clear and effective. If I get the chance to join again, I’d love to see more use cases and learn from OPSWAT’s most successful outcomes.

Istanbul Officially Launches Self-Guided CIP Lab, Driving Next-Gen Training
As part of the MetaDefender Platform Bootcamp series, the Istanbul Bootcamp focused on equipping professionals with practical skills and advanced solutions to protect critical infrastructure. The highlight of this event was the official launch of the Self-Guided CIP Lab, an upgraded, more interactive version of the Cloud-based CIP Lab introduced earlier this year.
What’s new in the upgraded lab:
- Visual, step-by-step instructions.
- Video demonstrations for complex tasks.
- Auto-fill command links to reduce errors.
- Checkboxes and taskbars for progress tracking.
- Embedded learning checkpoints to reinforce retention.
- Real-world practice files and contextual links.
- Snapshot recovery to restore lab state after missteps.
Building on the foundation of the original Cloud-based CIP Lab, this latest version is designed to make hands-on learning seamless and impactful, allowing participants to focus on practicing skills while engaging in deeper discussions. It represents a smarter way to learn and apply critical concepts in real time.
It was a highly valuable experience to dive deeper into OPSWAT MetaDefender Core platform and explore its role in strengthening security infrastructures. The hands-on sessions, interactive discussions and different OPSWAT product integration sections were especially insightful.
