Event Wrap-up: GovWare 2022

The OPSWAT team was at GovWare, the Asia-Pacific region’s premier cybersecurity information and connectivity conference, in Singapore last week from October 18-October 20. We were excited to have a presence at the conference with a booth and a presentation from OPSWAT Founder and CEO Benny Czarny.

Event Wrap-up: GovWare 2022

Exhibition

During the three-day event, many customers visited our booth as we introduced the latest solutions, such as MetaDefender OT Security and MetaDefender Kiosk. We met with several policymakers and business leaders who came together to exchange strategic intel, forge partnerships, and explore cutting-edge technology. Our team also shared how organizations can strengthen their cybersecurity defenses in a post-COVID era through zero-trust technologies that secure all files and devices within critical networks.

MetaDefender Kiosk Image
MetaDefender Kiosk prevents threats from entering the organization via removable media by scanning and inspecting them with advanced technologies such as Metascan and Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) before bringing them into the organization. At the exhibition, we demonstrated how we could safely bring the data into critical networks via USB devices in a network-isolated environment, using MetaDefender Kiosk in conjunction with OPSWAT's Metascan and Deep CDR.

Keynote Session

Deep CDR is an advanced threat prevention technology increasingly used by organizations as part of their zero-trust security approach to protect against both known and unknown threats.

As malware evolves and attack techniques become more complex, traditional preventative controls like anti-malware engines and sandboxes are not enough to prevent threats before it’s too late because they were built to detect an anomaly in a file or in a file’s behavior.

Benny Czarny spoke on the topic “CDR: What is it and Why it is the Ultimate Solution for Known and Unknown Threats,” covering how past cybersecurity attacks on critical infrastructure have shaped the future of technology, the new malware trends, and how CDR works to prevent cyberattacks, as well as the questions that everyone should ask before selecting the CDR vendor.

If you want to learn more about CDR, download this guide which provides an overview of Deep CDR technology and how you can select the best CDR solution to protect your business and infrastructure from emerging cybersecurity threats.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the keynote presentations and stopped by the OPSWAT booth. Please feel free to contact us with any questions about our technology, products, solutions, trial license, and more.
