OPSWAT is committed to keeping your security up to date with the latest products and features. To maintain seamless compatibility and robust security, we periodically retire support for older operating systems in MetaDefender Core and its engines. Here are the upcoming changes you should be aware of.

Action Required by End of July 2024

Migrate from Debian 9 (EOL since June 30, 2022) to Debian 11 to ensure continued security.

Upgrade from Ubuntu 18.04 (standard support ended May 31, 2023) to Ubuntu 20.04 to receive ongoing security updates.

Plan for End of 2024

CentOS 7 reaches end-of-life on June 30, 2024 - upgrade to Red Hat 8 or 9 before then to maintain security, as no further updates will be provided.

Red Hat 7 maintenance also concludes on June 30, 2024 - upgrade to Red Hat 8 or 9 to keep your systems secure.

Please note that OPSWAT will extend product functionality support for CentOS 7 and Red Hat 7 until the end of 2024.
