Your Time at OPSWAT

What project(s) have you been working on at OPSWAT?

Domonkos:

I am on the Email Gateway Security team, and I am working on a test automation project.

Adrián:

I’m helping the Email Gateway Security team and making automation tests for the product. At first it was very strange, and I didn’t know how things worked but I am catching up.

András:

I have been helping my mentor by writing tests for the Proactive DLP engine. Also, I have documented outdated tests and categorized them to give a clearer picture of what’s going on.

What have you enjoyed most about your time at OPSWAT?

Domonkos:

I really enjoyed learning a lot of new things in coding, for example playwright. And one of my favorite free time activities at OPSWAT is talking with my colleagues.

Adrián:

The office atmosphere is fascinating; I love it so much. My colleagues are very kind and helpful, so I can’t say anything bad. And I almost forgot it, coffee :)

András:

The office’s atmosphere is very welcoming and professional. Any issue I had, regarding administration or some kind of technical problem, it has been always resolved fast and effectively.

What is one of the biggest takeaways from your experience here?

Domonkos:

I think the biggest experience is to learn some new technologies and I get some experience with Git. Additionally, I saw here a big codebase like EGS.

Adrián:

I saw what it’s like to have an office job, and I have to say that I’m impressed and I would like to stay in this line of work. I’ve learned more about viruses and how to defend myself from phishing and experienced what it feels like to work for an IT company.

András:

I have learned what life is like at a bigger company and what’s it like having an office job. The part that surprised me was that in order to prevent burning out, there are various opportunities to relax and release stress.

If you could describe your time at OPSWAT in one word, what would it be and why?

Domonkos:

I think “family” perfectly describes OPSWAT.

Adrián:

I would say “wonderful”. Because I had a great time working here, experienced new technologies and had the opportunity to talk with more experienced developers who helped me how to do some coding parts different and better.

András:

If I had to describe my time at OPSWAT in one word, then I would say “promising” because it is a very exciting place to work.
