During the past few months, we invested considerably in our cloud solution, MetaDefender.com. We worked hard to deliver a highly scalable and reliable infrastructure, while at the same time respecting the requirements of our anti-malware partners to build an acceptable program for the industry.

We are receiving more and more inquiries for cloud integrations and are seeing end customers move more services to the cloud. As an example, there is alot of interest in Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions, which act as a layer of security for enterprises adding cloud productivity solutions to their workflows. Even though the CASB market is viewed as the security layer, it's only the broker. No decisions are made based on the sanity of the data. This is where OPSWAT and partner solutions such as CloudLock, a Cisco company, come into play (read more about OPSWAT/CloudLock integration).

We are focused on organizations with the highest security standards. Over the past two months, we enrolled more than 10 anti-malware engines and are in discussions with another 10 with more to follow. For end customers, these additional engines are transparent and free of charge. We also are pursuing new engines for our on-premises solution, MetaDefender Core. This allows us to offer the only true commercial service sanctioned by the anti-malware community. No other player in the cloud multi-scanning market can make the same claim.

Our offering is not limited to multi-scanning. Scan reports (file scans and hash lookups) are a core feature, and by the end of the quarter data sanitization will be available, offering true protection against malicious productivity files often seen in cloud solutions. With this added feature, the MetaDefender.com cloud offering will help companies with:

  • File scanning with multiple anti-malware engine partners
  • Hash lookup of prior scan results with multiple anti-malware engine partners
  • Common network traffic of binaries
  • Common DLL load of binaries
  • Binary vulnerability
