Black Hat USA was another success for the OPSWAT team this year. It was an action-packed week with more than 21,000 attendees traveling to Las Vegas to hear about the latest research, developments and trends in the cybersecurity industry. If you didn’t have a chance to meet our team of experts or stop by our booth, here are our top takeaways from the week.
OPSWAT Acquired InQuest
In case you missed the big news, OPSWAT announced its acquisition of InQuest, strengthening its federal go-to-market strategy and network detection and threat intelligence capabilities. OPSWAT Founder and CEO Benny Czarny, and former CEO of InQuest and now Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Federal Sales at OPSWAT Michael Arcamone, talked about this exciting next step at the OPSWAT booth.
CIP Lab and Lightning Talks
Cybersecurity attack simulations at OPSWAT’s Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Lab were a major success, with over 1,600 booth visitors gaining firsthand insight into how OPSWAT products effectively prevent malware and zero-day attacks. Additionally, attendees stopped to listen to our thought leadership lightning talks every 15 minutes, covering topics from how to maximize ROI from cybersecurity solutions to securing 5G networks and how users are being targeted today.
Book Signing with Erik Knapp
Former OPSWAT CTO of OT Eric Knapp also hosted a book signing of “Industrial Network Security” at the OPSWAT booth. Eric spoke with attendees about how to navigate the complex challenges of OT environments and the silver bullets when it comes to safeguarding them.
VIP Party at the Foundation Room
OPSWAT, InQuest, and Exodus Intelligence hosted their annual VIP cocktail party in the Foundation Room atop Mandalay Bay on Wednesday, August 7. More than 300 guests gathered for conversations with old and new colleagues while enjoying one of the best views of the Las Vegas strip.
