With the release of MetaDefender Kiosk™ v4.7.5, OPSWAT is excited to introduce new advanced features and enhancements designed to elevate your security posture and streamline your portable media security operations.

OpenID Connect Authentication

MetaDefender Kiosk now supports OpenID Connect authentication. Users can now use single sign-on to reduce the need for repeated credential entries during file transfers and enhance workflow efficiency.

Enhanced Network Hardening

In this version, users can be granted granular control over network services within the MetaDefender Kiosk web management console. This feature can be turned on or off from the System Hardening settings to modify network services in the admin console for air-gapped environments.

Traceable File Deletion

The new "Tombstone File" feature enables maintaining comprehensive file records of the deleted files. When a file gets deleted by MetaDefender Kiosk, a corresponding tombstone file is generated to provide users with a trail of previously removed data.

Incoming File Classification & File Sharing

The process of transferring files via MetaDefender Managed File Transfer™ has been simplified. Users can now share files directly by specifying recipients via username or email. This addition eliminates the need for repetitive logins for file transfers. It also supports file classification to align with organizational data-handling security policies and help facilitate file scanning and transfer.
