MetaDefender Kiosk Upgrade Enhancement

The latest release of MetaDefender Kiosk introduces the capability to perform Kiosk Evergreen Upgrades from the Kiosk Management Console, offering customizable configuration options. This streamlined update process ensures system currency, enhances security posture, mitigates the risk of human error, and facilitates rapid deployment across multiple facilities all while taking a snapshot of configurations.

RFID Card Authentication

In addition to supporting Smart cards from the previous release version, the kiosk now supports RFID card authentication in association with Active Directory accounts to improve security even further. This measure restricts access to scanning sessions to authorized personnel in organizations only.

Broader Support and Compatibility for Encrypted USB Devices

MetaDefender Kiosk now offers improved accessibility for users in various regions by supporting a wider selection of encrypted USB devices. This expanded compatibility includes the DataLocker Sentry 3.0 and the DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 (DTVP30M-R).

Encryption and Password Protocol Updates

To enhance system security, the initial configuration of the MongoDB password is mandatory during kiosk installation. All databases are encrypted to mitigate potential security risks further.

Time Zone Synchronization Between Syslog Servers and Kiosk

MetaDefender Kiosk now implements time zone alignment between the syslog server and the host machine. This ensures that all log messages are recorded and displayed according to the local time zone, facilitating more efficient daily operations.

Legacy Peripheral and Removable Media Support

MetaDefender Kiosk now offers expanded compatibility with legacy IT/OT systems by enabling the copy of scanned files to SCSI USB devices.
