Your time at OPSWAT
What do you enjoy most about the OPSWAT culture?
What I enjoy most about the OPSWAT culture is the emphasis on diversity and mutual respect. Being a global company, our team members work across different time zones, but we always find ways to accommodate each other's needs. The level of understanding and respect for different cultures within the team is remarkable, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. What do you do to protect critical infrastructure?
As a marketer, my role in protecting critical infrastructure is focused on spreading awareness and conveying the importance of its protection. Through various mediums such as events, webinars, and articles, my mission is to educate people about the significance of safeguarding critical infrastructure.
By raising awareness about potential risks and highlighting the importance of protection, I ensure that prospects are well-informed and prepared to take action to secure their organizations. This creates a receptive audience for our Sales team when approaching potential customers.
In essence, while the Sales team focuses on selling solutions that protect customer organizations, marketing plays a crucial role in preparing the ground by spreading awareness and emphasizing the need for critical infrastructure protection. Together, marketing and sales work in tandem to empower organizations to better defend against potential threats and ensure the safety and resilience of their critical assets.
What do you like the most about OPSWAT?
What I most like about OPSWAT is the people I work with. The company fosters a culture where everyone is respectful, responsible, and collaborative. I am fortunate to be part of a team that is always willing to support and assist each other. This positive and inclusive environment creates a sense of camaraderie and makes coming to work enjoyable every day.
Why do you think Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) is important?
Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) is of utmost importance because our lives rely heavily on the safety and functionality of critical infrastructures such as government systems, hospitals, banks, transportation networks, and more. These infrastructures form the backbone of our society, and any compromise to their security can have severe consequences.
For instance, a cyberattack on our traffic system could lead to chaos and disruption, impacting daily commutes and transportation. A hacked hospital could jeopardize countless lives, and the leak of health data would have far-reaching consequences for individuals' privacy and well-being.
The smooth operation of these critical infrastructures is vital for the functioning of our daily lives, and their protection is paramount. Safeguarding them at all times and at any cost is essential to ensure the safety, security, and stability of our society and to prevent potential disasters that may arise from their compromise. CIP is not just a matter of securing technology; it is safeguarding the very foundation upon which our modern world relies.
The You Outside of Work
What are your favorite activities outside of work?
Outside of work, my favorite activity is traveling. Exploring different parts of the world and experiencing diverse cultures fills me with a sense of gratitude and wonder. It reminds me that there is so much more to life beyond our daily routines, and the world is full of beauty and richness waiting to be discovered.
Witnessing the differences in cultures and understanding their depth and diversity is a truly enriching experience. It broadens my perspective and helps me appreciate the uniqueness of each place and its people. Immersing myself in different cultures allows me to learn and grow as an individual, cultivating a deeper understanding and empathy for the global community.

What is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
The best place I've traveled to is Bali. This stunning island offers a perfect blend of gorgeous beaches and tranquil forests, making it a paradise for nature lovers. While it attracts a significant number of tourists, what makes Bali truly special is its rich culture and spirituality.
Upon delving deeper, I was captivated by the incredible local culture and religious practices. The people of Bali lead simple lives, finding contentment and gratitude through their religious beliefs. It was a profound experience to witness how their inner world, nourished by their faith, brings them satisfaction and fulfillment.
Bali taught me a valuable lesson about finding happiness from within rather than relying on external possessions. It reminded me that true abundance comes from within, and a grateful heart can lead to a more satisfying life. This unique combination of natural beauty and spiritual wisdom makes Bali a place that holds a special place in my heart, leaving a lasting impression of peace and inspiration.
