What do you do at OPSWAT?
As an Office Manager at the Ho Chi Minh office, I am responsible for managing the Vietnam office’s daily operation. I also help take care of employees’ wellbeing through the food program, monthly gathering activities, and internal events like the company trip and year-end party. Additionally, I support global offices with their productions of swag kits and shipments in and out the country. I can tell that I am like a butler of a BIG family!
When did you join OPSWAT?
I joined OPSWAT on May 16, 2022.
If you could describe OPSWAT in one word, what would it be and why?
It would be “HOME”! As an Office Manager, I have an opportunity to interact with various people at OPSWAT, but I found them all respectful, responsible and collaborative. This helps to create a very friendly working environment in which I always get appreciated for what I have done for everyone. That makes me feel like I’m home where I can take care of others.
Your Time at OPSWAT
How has the company changed since you first started?
When I first started at OPSWAT, there were around 180 staff sharing 3 floors of the Sai Gon Giai Phong building; now, there are around 320 members working together in our new, modern, and friendly 5-floor office! Wow—such quick development! I am proud to be a part of this considerable progress at the Ho Chi Minh office.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
Keep being devoted, then recognition and appreciation come to you accordingly.

What has been your favorite project to work on at OPSWAT?
SKO 2023 at the Ho Chi Minh office has been my favorite and most memorable project ever! It was so challenging for me to organize and arrange everything for the event, but I always got support and motivation from the team to bring out a very successful SKO 2023 for OPSWAT. I also had a chance to meet with a lot of wonderful people in person. Last but not least, thanks to this event, I could unleash my potential and sharpen my professional skills in event planning, time management, teamwork and leadership.
I would also like to mention our office’s company trip this year as another favorite project of mine via this video:
What do you do to protect critical infrastructure?
To be honest, IT is not my professional major, and I am just a very small piece of the whole success of the company. What I can do is to help to nurture and promote OPSWAT’s culture, and maintain and improve my services to internal staff to make them feel happy and enjoy working here to strengthen their commitment to the company and boost their productivity.
The You Outside of Work
What are your favorite activities outside of work?
I often spend time on Saturday morning playing badminton with my colleagues. When I have more time on the weekends, I go trekking to explore nature and stay away from modern life for a while. I am a big fan of travelling and trekking, and I was happy to have some trips with my beloved colleagues.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am a single father of 5 little cutie cats.
What keeps you motivated and focused?
Recognition and appreciation from everyone.
