There was a lot of coverage this week surrounding the new Technical Preview of Windows 10. Microsoft has made some exciting announcements and we are very interested to see what else may be revealed before the public release of Windows 10.

Windows 10 has many features that will please users, keep developers interested, and ensure that IT administrators' jobs are made that much easier. It is designed to run on mobile phones, tablets, and customized built-in devices, as well as traditional laptop and desktop devices. Microsoft brings the "start menu" back with the new operating system, which is a notable feature change compared to Windows 8. The operating system also introduces a multiple-desktop feature. This feature allows users to create desktops for several projects simultaneously and switch between them. Fortunately, Microsoft seems to have since remedied any issues users may have encountered while using Windows 8. Because of this, Windows 10 is quickly becoming one of Microsoft's most popular releases to date.

For those of you who are interested in exploring the Windows 10 Technical Preview, we are happy to announce that OESIS Framework is Windows 10 ready! Our engineers made the SDK flexible so that when a whole new operating system is introduced, it can be supported almost immediately. This is one of the benefits of OESIS — it is always up to date. We rebuilt the new V4 version of OESIS from the ground-up, to make it flexible, small, fast and easily updatable, in order to have the latest support capabilities.

You can check out some screenshots of the OESIS Endpoint Assessment Tool (AKA OESIS Testing Harness) running on Windows 10 Technical Preview, below. We also encourage you to download and try the Endpoint Assessment Tool for yourself — even if you aren't currently using Windows 10.
