Encrypted File Retrieval Password Prompts

MetaDefender Kiosk now prompts users to enter encrypted archive file passwords during file retrievals. Users can also preload passwords for streamlined file retrieval experience.

Enhanced Login for MetaDefender Kiosk Management Console

The MetaDefender Kiosk Management Console login page has been redesigned to improve the user experience and ensure consistency with other OPSWAT products.

Multiple Choice Question Support

Define pick lists for user questions, enabling a more user-friendly and consistent data collection experience.

Highly Scalable Deployments

Integrations with MetaDefender Distributed Cluster are now supported for improved resilience and scalability in high-volume environments.

Improved File Copying Progress Interface

Improved File Retrieval Experience

Smartcard (PIV) Authentication Support

MetaDefender Kiosk now supports Smartcard (PIV) authentication. This supported authentication, based on the FIPS 201 standard, helps provide secure and compliant user access.

Enhanced Encrypted Kingston USB Detection with Multi-Lingual Support

MetaDefender Kiosk now supports detecting and unlocking encrypted Kingston USBs regardless of the device's language setting. The supported Kingston encrypted USBs are:

  • Kingston DataTraveler DTVP30  
  • Kingston DataTraveler DTVP30M  
  • Kingston Iron Key D300S  

Microsoft SCCM Support

MetaDefender Kiosk remote installation and upgrades support via Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) has been implemented.

Geolocation Reporting to My OPSWAT Central Management

To enhance visibility and improve device management capabilities, geolocation reporting to My OPSWAT™ Central Management (CM10) can now be enabled from the MetaDefender Kiosk.

Multiple Deployments with a Single MetaDefender Core

MetaDefender Kiosk administrators can now deploy a single MetaDefender Core™ instance across multiple MetaDefender Kiosk appliances. A shared MetaDefender Core configuration can be implemented through the .INI file during the OOBE (Out-of-Box Experience) auto-deployment.  

Enhanced Disk Space Validation for Hardened Images

The disk space validation for MetaDefender Kiosk’s hardened images has been improved to prevent upgrade failures caused by insufficient space in the Recovery (RE) partition. This improvement ensures reliable snapshot creation and avoids rollback issues during auto-upgrades. 

Improved RTL Display for User Questions

MetaDefender Kiosk now ensures correct formatting for RTL (right-to-left) languages, including Arabic and Hebrew, for user question responses when enhancing readability and localization accuracy.
