The Device Posture Module discovers the identity of backup application clients and determines their configuration state. This information enables enterprise IT and compliance departments to determine whether managed and unmanaged devices are properly backed up. This Module also identifies backup application clients which are no longer supported nor sanctioned by the organization.
Detection
Identify each installed backup application, as well as each application’s version, architecture and language.
Configuration
Verify that endpoints are always backed up, by retrieving the time of the most recent backup, if it was completed, whether it is still running, as well as a list of all previous backups.
Remediation
Start or stop installed backup applications.
