Workflow Engine for Customizing Security Policies
Not all organizations have the same security needs. Even within an organization itself, some files and data should be handled by different security policies compared to others. Metadefender Core’s workflows allow administrators to customize the security policies they select for different files depending on the source of the file. For example, administrators may choose to first scan all external files with multiple anti-malware engines and then sanitize them, or sanitize them first and then scan for threats with multiple engines. The Workflow Engine allows for both scenarios, which offers flexibility when using the technologies available in Metadefender Core.
Define Multiple Workflows
Metadefender Core allows you to define multiple workflows to handle different security policies for different users and file sources. Each of the steps in a workflow can be customized for the specific users or sources that will have their files processed by that workflow, allowing the appropriate security policies to be set for all groups of users and files.

The Metadefender Core Workflow Engine allows administrators to create custom security policies. For example, an administrator may choose to check for approved file source before checking for approved users, or vice versa. The diagrams below show how workflows can be adjusted to fit certain security preferences.

Although the diagrams above show more complex workflow scenarios, simplified workflows can be implemented as well. Administrators get to decide the level of granularity they want for file handling depending on the needs of their organization.
