Protecting the World’s Critical Infrastructure

OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, delivers an end-to-end platform that gives public and private sector organizations and enterprises the critical advantage needed to protect their complex networks, secure their devices, and ensure compliance. Over the last 20 years our commitment to innovative technology has earned the trust of more than 1,700 organizations, governments, and institutions globally, solidifying our role in protecting the world’s critical infrastructure and securing our way of life.

The Position

This is an architect-and-build role. You'll design, engineer, and ship the AI systems that change how OPSWAT's People organization works, and how 1,100+ employees across 25+ countries get HR support.

OPSWAT is a cybersecurity company. We hold our people data to the same standard we hold our customers' data. Your mission: use AI to cut manual HR workload, speed up people decisions, and raise the quality of the employee experience, without compromising trust, privacy, or compliance.

You'll sit in the Enterprise Products team, aligning with People leadership on priorities and reporting to the Head of Enterprise Applications & Digital Transformation for platform governance. Performance is split 50/50 between delivery quality and technical excellence.

What You'll Own

  • Agentic HR Service Agent: Ship an agent that resolves employee questions from policies, the knowledge base, and case history. It routes and escalates the rest to HR Advisors with full context, and it learns from every outcome.
  • People Data Platform: Architect governed, integrated datasets across HRIS, ATS, LMS, identity, compensation, payroll, EOR, and FP&A systems. This becomes the trusted source of truth that every report, dashboard, and AI application runs on.
  • People Analytics & Decision Support: Build natural-language querying, attrition and retention modeling, headcount forecasting, recruiting funnel analytics, and compensation insights for leadership and HR Business Partners.
  • Employee Lifecycle Automation: Automate high-volume, cross-functional workflows across onboarding, offboarding, internal moves, document generation, and approvals, working with IT, Legal, and Finance.
  • Knowledge Engineering: Build AI tools that generate, maintain, and improve HR policies, procedures, and self-service content using LLMs, RAG, and semantic search.
  • Responsible AI & Compliance: Design role-based access, audit trails, data minimization, and human-in-the-loop controls into everything you ship, meeting SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and EU AI Act requirements.

You're a Great Fit If You

  • Have 4–8 years in software, data, or AI/ML engineering and have shipped production AI systems, not prototypes.
  • Are fluent in Python, with hands-on work in LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI orchestration or agentic frameworks.
  • Have built and maintained API integrations and data pipelines between SaaS business systems.
  • Have built AI applications (chatbots, recommenders, automation) and can explain what worked and why.
  • Can architect scalable, secure, production-grade systems and instrument success metrics.
  • Handle sensitive data with discipline: access controls, PII handling, auditability.
  • Communicate clearly with senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders, and can turn a vague business problem into a scoped build.
  • Are willing to travel internationally on occasion.
  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, AI, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong Differentiators

  • Experience building on HR platforms such as BambooHR, Greenhouse, Workday, ADP, Deel, Rippling, or similar.
  • People analytics experience: attrition, headcount planning, recruiting metrics, or compensation analysis.
  • Working knowledge of EU AI Act obligations for employment-related AI, GDPR, or SOC 2 / ISO 27001 controls.
  • Experience with identity and access platforms (e.g., Okta) and provisioning workflows.
  • Experience integrating AI into enterprise workflows in a regulated or security-first environment, not standalone demos.
  • Background in cybersecurity or a multinational organization with distributed legal entities.
