The Position
OPSWAT is now searching for Technical Support Engineer to join our Customer Support team. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues and escalated issues from tier 1 support and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely responses. We are looking for an energetic and motivated person who likes interacting with customers, tinkering with software, learning about new technologies, and “doing what it takes,” to contribute to OPSWAT’s quick growth.
We are interested in candidates based in Japan with Japanese as a primary language.
What You Will Be Doing
- Handle complex technical issues and escalated ones from Japanese partners/customers support via phone, case system, and chat.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for OPSWAT solutions via log analysis, system diagnostics, network configurations.
- Conduct remote sessions with customers.
- Reproduce customer issues in lab environments and validate solutions and bug fixes.
- Evaluate the complexity of issues and escalate to tier 3 support.
- Collaborate with the global Tier 1, Tier2 and Tier 3 support team well.
- In collaboration with the existing TAM (technical account manager)in Japan, we provide support to our customers in Japan
- Work closely with technically oriented customers (typical customers are engineers and IT personnel).
- Provide status updates to customers, adhering to SLA and commitments.
- Maintain clear and professional communication to ensure positive customer experience and CSAT
- Contribute to the KBs creation and updates for customer’s self-service.
- Mentor all inquiries from Japanese customers/partners and contribute to support process improvement.
- Get involved in professional services delivery.
- Get involved in other side projects and operations per request.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (CS) , a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Windows Server.
- A good foundation of basic networking concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Linux, with an interest in expanding the knowledge.
- Ability to think logically, analyze logs and troubleshoot computer software and IT related issues.
- Spoken and written English skills are required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proven customer-oriented attitude.
- Strong team collaboration abilities and organizational skills.
- At least 4 years of Experience in providing customer support of technical software products or a technical helpdesk environment or a related field.

In the Professional Services capacity, the engineer will implement and integrate OPSWAT products and solutions purchased by customers, offer advice on best practices, provide knowledge transfer on administering the solution, and expose the customer to other OPSWAT solutions that might benefit them.
The Joint Professional Services and Technical Support Engineer also works to mentor and lead others on the support team, to improve customer support processes, to maintain strong customer satisfaction, and to influence the product roadmap. The Position
OPSWAT Academy is looking for a Video Production Specialist to own the full video production lifecycle: filming, editing, post-production, and studio management for our educational and marketing content.
You will be the on-the-ground production lead at our Tampa office. You run recording sessions with executives and subject matter experts, and travel to events and conferences to capture content in the field.
This is a hands-on role. You are the primary creator, owning production from setup to final delivery.
What you will be do:
Studio Production
- Operate camera (dual-angle setup), lighting, and audio equipment for every recording session
- Direct speakers on framing, pacing, and delivery
- Manage studio setup, teardown, and equipment maintenance
- Ensure consistent, professional output across all content formats (explainer videos, podcasts, interviews)
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit raw footage into polished final videos (multi-camera sync, jump cuts, transitions, text overlays)
- Add graphics, lower thirds, motion design, and branded elements
- Sound design: background music, SFX, audio leveling, noise reduction
- Color grading for visual consistency across all content
- Export in multiple formats (YouTube 4K, social media 1080p, 15-second promos)
- Target turnaround: 5 business days from recording to published video
Event Coverage & Field Production
- Travel to training bootcamps, conferences, and partner events (domestic and occasional international)
- Capture event footage: speaker sessions, hands-on labs, attendee interviews, b-roll
- Produce event highlight reels, recap videos, and testimonial clips
- Manage portable production gear for on-location shoots
Social Media Content (Supporting)
- Edit short-form video content for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and social channels
- Create social promos and teasers from longer-form content
- Support the Academy team with ad-hoc content requests
What we need from you:
Must Have
- 2-5 years of hands-on video production experience (filming + editing)
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro (primary editing tool)
- Experience operating DSLR/mirrorless cameras (Sony A7 series or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of lighting setups (3-4 point lighting, LED panels)
- Working knowledge of audio (wireless lavalier mics, podcast recording, audio leveling)
- Ability to work independently and manage a full shoot from setup to delivery
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating talking-head videos, interviews, or corporate content
- Willingness to travel (estimated 15-20% of time)
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Tampa/Orlando area
Nice to Have
- Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve or CapCut

- Edit raw footage into polished final videos (multi-camera sync, jump cuts, transitions, text overlays)
- Add graphics, lower thirds, motion design, and branded elements
- Sound design: background music, SFX, audio leveling, noise reduction
- Color grading for visual consistency across all content
- Export in multiple formats (YouTube 4K, social media 1080p, 15-second promos)
- Target turnaround: 5 business days from recording to published video
Event Coverage & Field Production
- Travel to training bootcamps, conferences, and partner events (domestic and occasional international)
- Capture event footage: speaker sessions, hands-on labs, attendee interviews, b-roll
- Produce event highlight reels, recap videos, and testimonial clips
- Manage portable production gear for on-location shoots
Social Media Content (Supporting)
- Edit short-form video content for LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and social channels
- Create social promos and teasers from longer-form content
- Support the Academy team with ad-hoc content requests
What we need from you:
Must Have
- 2-5 years of hands-on video production experience (filming + editing)
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro (primary editing tool)
- Experience operating DSLR/mirrorless cameras (Sony A7 series or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of lighting setups (3-4 point lighting, LED panels)
- Working knowledge of audio (wireless lavalier mics, podcast recording, audio leveling)
- Ability to work independently and manage a full shoot from setup to delivery
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating talking-head videos, interviews, or corporate content
- Willingness to travel (estimated 15-20% of time)
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Tampa/Orlando area
Nice to Have
- Experience with Adobe After Effects for motion graphics
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve or CapCut
- Experience with Descript for transcript-based editing
- Familiarity with YouTube optimization (thumbnails, descriptions, end screens)
- Experience in cybersecurity, technology, or B2B SaaS (not required but helpful)
- Drone operation certification (FAA Part 107)
- Photography skills for event coverage
