What do you do at OPSWAT?
My main task at OPSWAT is to help the RevOps team run and manage the global commission processes and systems. Whether that is questions regarding commission calculations or helping manage and maintain the current commission systems and tools, I am the primary point of contact.
When did you join OPSWAT?
September 2021
If you could describe OPSWAT in one word, what would it be and why?
A word I would describe OPSWAT as is “culture”. Part of the reason why I personally can’t leave is because in the office, we are constantly trying to build a good camaraderie and culture. I love it, and it is a big reason why I continue to step into the office every day.
Your Time at OPSWAT

How has the company changed since you first started?
OPSWAT as a company has changed so much that it’s almost unrecognizable from when I first started. Ignoring how the company has scaled significantly in multiple global offices and regions, the culture has changed significantly. When I first started, it felt like there wasn’t much culture or interaction among teams and barely within teams. For this reason, I kind of kept to myself. Over the past 2-3 years due to the hard work of the office managers and teams within each office, I can see how people are having a more enjoyable time coming into work compared to before.
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest career lesson I’ve learned in general is to not be afraid of failing. Many times, I have had to fail before I was able to take the next step. Initially, I saw failing as incompetence and started to become afraid of failing. As time passed, I realized that for me failing is how I was able to learn, and if I kept running away from that I wouldn’t be able to improve and bounce back.
What do you like most about the office where you work?
What I like most about the office is my coworkers here. I think when I first got here, I was doubtful that I would make any friends and that it would just be a job. For the most part, it was just that at first. But the more the Tampa office culture developed and the more I talked with the office members, the more I realized that a big reason why I came into the office is that I am surrounded by fun and motivated individuals.
The You Outside of Work

What word would you choose to describe yourself?
The word I think best describes myself is “jokester”. I just like to keep people smiling and laughing so I will try to lighten the mood by cracking both good and horrible jokes.
What is the best place you traveled to and why?
The best place I’ve traveled to so far is Australia, specifically the Great Barrier Reef. I think it was the first eye-opening travel experience I’ve had where I got to understand the beauty of traveling and why people do it. Just seeing it in person, when I’ve only seen it in videos or even in cartoons, was an experience I can’t put into words.
