End of Sale and End of Life Policy for On-Site OPSWAT Products
Summary
From time to time, OPSWAT Inc. (“OPSWAT”) may determine it necessary to discontinue specific products or product versions for several reasons, including the availability of new and improved technologies, marketplace changes, or the retirement of source parts and technologies. The purpose of this End of Sale and End of Life Policy for On-Site OPSWAT Products (the “Policy”) is to provide visibility to our customers and end users about what to expect during the end of an OPSWAT product’s lifecycle.
This Policy applies to all of OPSWAT's hardware and software products installed or deployed within a customer’s environment (“On-Site Product”).
This Policy does not apply to (a) OPSWAT’s cloud services (such as MetaDefender Access and MetaDefender Cloud); and (b) OPSWAT’s products and services offered for free, including the products and services available at https://www.opswat.com/free-tools and My OPSWAT.
Definitions
“End of Sale Date” means the last day that an On-Site Product will be available for order from OPSWAT or one of OPSWAT’s channel partners.
“End of Sale On-Site Product” means an On-Site Product with an announced End of Sale Date as listed in our End of Sale and End of Life Product Listing.
“End of Life Date” means the last day that an End of Sale On-Site Product will be supported, improved, or maintained by OPSWAT.
End of Sale
OPSWAT will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide three (3) months’ advanced notice of an On-Site Product’s End of Sale Date. If commercially reasonable, OPSWAT will provide recommendations on a migration strategy to another OPSWAT product with comparable features.
Until the End of Life Date for an End of Sale On-Site Product, OPSWAT will provide fixes for defects in End Of Sale On-Site Products when there is no workaround and the defect is preventing the use of the End of Sale On-Site Product. Fixes will be provided in the next release of the End of Sale On-Site Product after confirmation of the defect.
End of Life
Once an On-Site Product reaches its End of Life Date, OPSWAT will not offer new professional service and support contracts for that product. Typically, the End of Life Date is eighteen (18) months after the End of Sale Date.
