MetaDefender for Media

Overview

MetaDefender for Media (MD4M) provides your organization with protection from the risks associated with infected media present on peripheral devices such as USB drives and CDs/DVDs.

By communicating with a Metascan server, the MD4M client uses multiple simultaneously scanning antivirus engines (anywhere from four to more than 20) to scan files on incoming media devices. MD4M includes the ability to embed your own custom scanning engine (for DLP and related uses), as well as the ability to define rules for the handling of scanned content. With these features and more, MD4M offers a comprehensive and efficient solution to control and monitor the data coming in and out of your organization.
