The Position

At OPSWAT, we’re on a mission to protect the world’s most critical infrastructure. As a U.S.-based cybersecurity leader, we’re expanding our R&D footprint in Hungary — and we’re looking for a CIP Lab Intern to join our team in Veszprém. As part of our cybersecurity-focused company, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our product demonstration environment used for showcasing and validating solutions designed to protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats.

You’ll take ownership of ensuring the lab environment is correctly configured, up-to-date, and operating reliably, while also building a scalable setup framework that can be replicated across OPSWAT locations. This is a hands-on internship that combines software, hardware, and systems thinking. You’ll work closely with engineers and technical teams while contributing to real-world environments that support cybersecurity innovation and product demonstrations. Your work will have direct impact across our global organization. You'll Have The Opportunity to

  • Configure and maintain lab environment to support reliable and seamless product demonstrations
  • Write and maintain Python scripts to automate or streamline lab configurations
  • Perform light hardware tasks including soldering and physical device setup
  • Document processes and create replicable setup guides for use across other OPSWAT locations
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues within the demo environment
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, troubleshooting, and documentation tasks

What We Are Looking For

  • Ongoing IT-related university studies at the University of Pannonia, Veszprém
  • Basic programming and scripting knowledge, preferably in Python
  • Interest in systems, infrastructure, and hands-on technical work
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn independently
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work 20–30 hours/week after the University Practice
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and flexibility
