Project Manager (San Francisco, CA)

OPSWAT is seeking a Project Manager to oversee an ongoing security software project. As our project manager you will manage the software development process of our Antivirus Integration SDK programming toolkit from requirements through release. You will:

  • Collect customer requirements and translate these into requirement documents and prototypes.
  • Manage project resources and schedules, communicating changes to team members.
  • Manage and escalate issues that arise in the development lifecycle.

It is essential that you have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Internet security issues
  • Strong knowledge of C++
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven coordination skills

Software Engineer (San Francisco, CA)

OPSWAT is seeking a Software Engineer to develop our security software products.

Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, you will:

  • Contribute to and build our next generation of products.
  • Design and implement features for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
  • Collaborate with QA to identify, record, and remedy software defects.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and offshore teams.

It is essential that you have:

  • Strong C++ development experience
  • 2+ years recent experience developing applications using Microsoft Visual C++, Microsoft Visual .Net or gcc
  • Ability to Install Windows / Linux and Mac Operating System
  • Fast learner & self starter
  • Excellent written and verbal skills (English)

It is desired that you have:

  • Familiarity with Win32 Platform, MFC, and COM
  • Familiarity with database management and queries
  • Familiarity with XML technologies
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and other networking protocols

QA Engineer Lead Position (San Francisco, CA)

OPSWAT is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to help improve the overall quality of our security software products.

Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, you will:

  • Coordinate QA efforts and tasks
  • Review and improve existing QA processes
  • Create and execute test cases, manage bugs and report testing status to project teams
  • Be extremely organized
  • May be responsible for after-hours technical support as needed.
  • Communicate with software engineering teams

It is essential that you have:

  • At least 2 years of QA lead experience
  • Knowledge of development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems
  • Ability to outline test requirements
  • Knowledge of Bug Tracking system / preferably bugzilla
  • Relevant QA experience of desktop software applications

It is desired that you have:

  • Knowledge of VMware
  • Experience with Scripting languages
  • Knowledge of Database systems and SQL
  • Experience in API testing
  • Experience with Rational software or equivalent

Junior Technical Sales Representative (San Francisco, CA)

OPSWAT is seeking a Junior Technical Sales Representative, available immediately, to sell Metascan™.
This postion is intended for someone interested in starting a career in high technology sales and has many opportunities for growth.

Metascan is targeted at software engineers, systems integrators and IT pros; existing customers include Fortune 500 enterprises, higher educational institutions, and both state and federal government agencies.

The Ideal candidate would have one or both of the following:

  • Some technical sales (retail OK) or customer service work experience
  • Business emphasis in their college education

Primary responsibilities:

  • Communicate, both verbally and in writing, with prospects and customers which includes software engineers, VARs, System
  • Be extremely organized
  • Perform research on sales prospects and channels
  • Qualify sales leads from various sources (web, trade shows, phone, etc.)
  • Record/maintain all customer/prospect activity in company's CRM database
  • Create and provide reports from data in CRM for OPSWAT management (sales pipeline, top accounts, top lead sources, etc.)

It is essential that you have:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to qualify and close customer prospects
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and IE/Firefox running on Windows

It is desired that you have:

  • Basic understanding of application development frameworks, especially ASP, .NET and Java
  • Basic understanding of the purpose and functions of antivirus applications
