My OPSWAT Portal v2025.2.3 introduces an updated retention policy for False Detection Submissions and enhancements that improve how users protect organizational access and more effectively describe their issues in support cases.
Updated Data Retention Policy for False Detection Submissions
To enhance system performance and support compliance efforts, My OPSWAT Portal now implements a refined data retention policy for False Detection Submissions:
- Submissions with statuses CONFIRMED BENIGN, CONFIRMED MALICIOUS, or REJECTED will have their associated files automatically removed 90 days after the submission date.
- Submissions with statuses IN QUEUE, IN PROGRESS, or INCONCLUSIVE will have their associated files removed after 365 days from the submission date.
Please note that while the files are deleted, the submission records remain accessible for your reference. This policy ensures that storage is optimized, system performance is maintained, and compliance with data management standards is upheld.
Enhanced Security for Email Domain-Based Join Requests
To help prevent accidental exposure of organizational access, we’ve implemented a safeguard in the Company Domains setting under Organization General Information Setting. Public or generic email domains—such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and similar—are now blocked from being added. See a full list of domains that are blocked.
Previously, organization admins could unknowingly allow broad access by adding public email domains. This often resulted in unexpected join requests from unrelated users and unintended visibility of their organization to the wider Portal community.
By limiting domain types to organization-specific addresses, this update helps ensure join requests come from trusted, expected sources.
Rich Text Support in Case Descriptions
The Submit a Support Case form now allows rich text formatting in the Description field. Users can structure their messages with bullets, bolding, and spacing, making it easier to provide clear, actionable information.
