The Position

What We Need From You

OPSWAT’s Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity - Graduate Fellowship Program 2026

Program Overview

This immersive and hands-on program provides a unique opportunity for graduate students to study and mitigate real-world cybersecurity vulnerabilities affecting critical infrastructure systems.

As a participant, you will:

• Identify and replicate known vulnerabilities in a controlled lab environment, leveraging our OPSWAT Critical Infrastructure Lab's resources.
• Develop and test exploits related to these vulnerabilities, gaining insight into hacker tactics and methods.
• Produce comprehensive written reports and visual content (video and images) detailing the vulnerabilities, the reasons behind their occurrence, and their potential impact on critical infrastructure.
• Scan identified malware and vulnerabilities using OPSWAT's suite of tools, such as the MultiScanner, Deep CDR™ Technology, Proactive DP, Sandbox, Neuralyzer, and Vulnerability Scanners, and document your findings.
• Create a defense strategy that outlines protective measures against identified vulnerabilities and similar future threats, backed by your hands-on experience and testing results.

Program Structure

The program consists of 6 modules as below:

Module 1: Vulnerability Identification and Replication

• Start with a known vulnerability (to be provided during the program).
• Replicate the vulnerability in the OPSWAT Critical Infrastructure Lab.

Module 2: Exploit Development

• Develop an exploit for the identified vulnerability.
• Test and refine the exploit.

Module 3: Analysis and Documentation

• Investigate and document the reasons the vulnerability occurred and its potential effects on critical infrastructure.
• Capture your process and findings through video/images, and written reports.

Module 4: Scanning and Identification

• Use OPSWAT's MultiScanner, Sandbox, Neuralyzer, and Vulnerability Scanners to scan and identify the malware and vulnerabilities.
• Document your scanning results and analysis.

Module 5: Defense Strategy

• Based on your findings, formulate a strategy to defend against the identified vulnerabilities and similar future threats.
• Write a detailed report and create visual content (diagrams, flowcharts, etc.) to illustrate the defense strategy.

Module 6: Final Presentation

• Compile all your findings, reports, and strategies into a comprehensive document and presentation.
• Present your work to a panel of cybersecurity experts from OPSWAT for feedback and further learning.
• Create a video and online material to be published on OPSWAT’s and your university’s website.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer (C++) to join our growing Technology Office team. You will be part of Predictive Alin AI team.

You will contribute to building and innovating high-performance, cutting-edge technologies and solutions that power our products across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and Romania-based team on planning, architecture, design, development, and maintenance of high-quality applications
• Analyze business and technical requirements, define system features, and translate them into robust, maintainable functionality
• Write clean, efficient C++ code; conduct thorough code reviews; and develop comprehensive unit tests
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for code, architecture, and processes
• Proactively identify and implement improvements in performance, security, reliability, and developer experience
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the global team
• Partner with distributed engineering teams to deliver secure, up-to-date, and high-performing software

What We Need From You

• 1+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with modern C++ (strong preference for C++17/20 expertise)
• Solid proficiency with CMake and GCC toolchain
• Deep understanding of:
  • Multithreading, atomics, synchronization primitives, thread pools, and producer-consumer patterns
  • Lock contention mitigation and race condition prevention
  • CPU/memory profiling tools (e.g., perf, VTune, Valgrind, flame graphs)
  • Cache behavior, memory layout, allocation strategies, and performance implications
• Proven track record of optimizing performance-critical code paths
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally TeamCity)
• Basic working knowledge of AWS services (S3, API Gateway, DocumentDB)
• Good understanding of OS-level concepts (file systems, processes) on both Windows and Linux
• Experience with Docker/containerization
• Strong grasp of design patterns, OOP principles, and clean code practices
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

It Would Be Nice If You Had

• Experience in cybersecurity domains: antivirus (AV), endpoint detection & response (EDR), sandboxing, or malware analysis
• Low-level optimizations (SIMD, intrinsics, cache-friendly data structures)

The Position:

The Solution Engineer will be the primary technical sales resource for our Italian regional sales team and will assist in identifying customer challenges and driving technical alignment between customer needs and the OPSWAT solutions. You will serve as a product and industry expert, effectively describing and demonstrating our solution as well as promoting our vision and approach. You will be a trusted point of contact for our customers while advancing the sales process.

At the same time, you will be a liaison to the engineering team to drive the direction of the product. The ideal candidate will have previous work experience as a member of a corporate sales team and a career track record of supporting large and complex enterprise sales.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Work with the OPSWAT sales team as well as partners to drive Enterprise business 
• Manage customer requirements, expectations, and solution buy-in
• Build customer’s confidence and awareness in our products/solutions
• Manage, deliver, and present detailed responses to industry RFPs
• Train and certify resellers and partners
• Present at Conferences and Seminars
• Support proof of concepts, implementations and installs as needed to successfully satisfy customer requirements

What We Need From You:

• 5+ years of cybersecurity or networking software sales engineering or technical sales experience 
• Excellent track record in developing new business and meeting/exceeding sales targets 
• Comfortable leading discussions within the cybersecurity domain to all customer levels (CISO to IT administrator)
• Strong presentation and application demo skills 
• Experience installing and troubleshooting enterprise applications in Windows and Linux environments
• A self-motivator who thrives on identifying and resolving customer pain points.

It Would Be Nice If You Had:

• Experience in enterprise software or networking solutions, ideally within the network or device security space
• Knowledge of Sandbox and anti-malware products and markets
• A technical understanding of APIs
• Experience working with CRM software
